Dr James Murphy is a cognitive scientist who teaches psychology at The Open University. James’ research focuses on how people’s worldviews develop and the effects they have on their lives. He is particularly interested in beliefs and experiences that people consider religious, spiritual, or explicitly non-religious. He is a member of the British Association for the Study of Religions and the International Association for the Psychology of Religion.
