Dr James Darcey is a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry with a diverse academic and professional background. He completed his vocational training in 2004 and continued in General Dental Practice while obtaining the Diploma of Membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (MFGDP) in 2006. In 2008, he earned a Masters degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Manchester, with distinction.He began specialist training in Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester in 2010, during which he became a member of Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2015, he was appointed as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry after completing a Masters in Dental Public Health.As a Consultant, Dr Darcey is responsible for the development of a dedicated dental trauma management and rehabilitation service and clinical lead for the Emergency Dental Clinics. He has played a pivotal role in the creation of the Greater Manchester Dental Trauma Network, providing education, support, and treatment clinics for complex cases across the region. At Clinic 334, he accepts referrals for both surgical and non-surgical endodontic treatment and general restorative cases.Dr Darcey has authored several publications and is a lecturer in restorative dentistry and endodontics.
