Mr Jake Timothy was a full time Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since 2003-2016. Having trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London and worked in Neurosurgery at King’s Hospital, London, he completed his neurosurgical training and went onto obtain his MD thesis and was the first neurosurgeon to become the National Spinal Fellow in Leeds in 2002. He pioneered and introduced many new techniques to the Yorkshire region including interspinous distractors, artificial disc replacements, minimally invasive surgery, extreme lateral approaches and was awarded a clinical excellence in service delivery for the vertebroplasty service set up. He now has a honorary contract with several NHS Trust and his main duties are teaching, private work and helping colleagues.
