I graduated from the University of Leicester (MB ChB) in 1986 and obtained my post-graduate degree (MD) from the University of Leicester in 2004. I was appointed as a Consultant in 2002. My clinical interests are in the areas of menstrual disorders including operative hysteroscopy for treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroid and polyps and non-surgical management of fibroids (fibroid embolisation, use of ullipristal). Apart from clinical work I am heavily involved in post-graduate teaching and training including being an examiner for medical students and post-graduate doctors. I have tier 4 status as a RCOG post-graduate medical educator. I maintain annual appraisals of my clinical and education work. I am revalidated by the General Medical Council.
