I’m a very positive person that has been praised for her ability to interact with patients in a constructive and motivating way, even in situations as challenging as the ones found in the Cancer Services. I’ve often provided feedback to my colleagues, to improve their skills, but also the efficiency of the whole team collaborating together. I’ve also promoted internal initiatives to support patients of minorities in a respectful and trustworthy way. As Medicines Management Technician I’ve worked closely with our pharmacy staff and I provided counselling and care to our patients according to the Trust values, going the extra mile in understanding the nurses and staff needs and trying to proactively address them, especially in periods of high load. I’ve also provided onboarding and training for new starting staff (i.e. pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacists, etc), and I actively contributed to the improvement of the group skills by identifying gaps and improving specialised knowledge. On the operations side I have done stock control for the hospital pharmacy, working closely with our distribution centre, as well as having practical IT knowledge and direct knowledge of Epic pharmacy computer system.
