Directs the planning and evaluation of Nursing within the Emergency Department, Critical Care, Med/Surge Units, Hemodialysis, Respiratory, Vascular Access Team. Works closely with Medical Leadership to facilitate collaboration in developing shared practice models. Collaborates with nursing leadership to develop and promote patient standards of care, leads in the maintenance and development of policies and procedures, and management of personnel. Participates and is supportive of system wide initiatives. Collaborates with the Quality and Safety team in the promotion of process improvement. Shares responsibility in leading site to Magnet Status. Participates and supports the Professional Nurse Council. Directs and monitors activities to ensure and maintain compliance with regulatory boards such as the Joint Commission and CMS. Developed operating budgets for individual departments in alignment with strategic plan. Lead multiple key initiatives in support of the organizations business objectives. Leads and directs support services including Respiratory Care, Transportation, and Emergency Preparedness to ensure the care continuum functions provide levels of service, quality and accessibility to yield in better outcomes, lower costs and improved patient experience. Identified opportunities for organizational effectiveness to enhance overall performance, productivity, quality and expeditious issue resolution. Establishes and administers programs designed to build staff engagement and commitment among leadership and staff.
