"Idelfonso Gomez, M.D., specializes in internal medicine. He leads a team of health care professionals in providing compassionate, patient-focused primary care guided by medical excellence at Conviva Starr Centre. Dr. Gomez completed a residency as an internal medicine specialist at the University of Medicine of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, as well as an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He was a recipient of the Golden Diploma Award: Medical Doctor; and Best Medical Resident, 2003 and 2004. Dr. Gomez is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hypertension, and the American Medical Association. He earned his medical degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana University in Havana, Cuba. Dr. Gomez has been recognized through the NCQA’s Diabetes Recognition Program (DRP).
