It has been an exciting 7 years post graduation as a pharmacist as this has given me opportunities in the research arm of pharmacy but mostly enabled my growth in the community retail setting of the pharmacy professional. However, for a while I have nursed a dream of establishing a cancer specialist center just like the Clatterbridge cancer center in Liverpool, England. This passion to care for the medical vulnerable people with cancer in the Nigeria gave birth to my application to study oncology in the University of Chester, Chester, England. At least this could be a starting point to achieving my dream. Experience and research has shown that for better management of terminal diseases; early detection and specialist care should be prioritized. So with the progress emerging from cancer treatment one has to keeping upgrading the residual knowledge for better and sustainable cancer treatment. Why stick to the pharmacy profession then? I will say why not stick to a very diverse profession that allows you multitask easily in different fields and still succeed greatly. So yes I am a pharmacist specializing in cancer management in other to provide sustainable drug therapies for the terminally ill.
