Professor Bruce is an ENT surgeon providing Paediatric Ear, Nose & Throat & Adult Otology services. He completed a Paediatric ENT Fellowship at the Evelina Childrens Hospital, St Thomas Hospital, London, before returning to complete his training in Manchester. As a specialist Paediatric ENT surgeon he manages all aspects of ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders in children in his NHS practice at the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. He is regularly asked to deliver lectures at major international medical conferences reflecting his reputation as a first-class Paediatric ENT surgeon. He is one of the leading Paediatric ENT researchers in the UK holding several prestigious grants. Professor Bruce provides a service for adults and children with hearing loss, ear infections and other ear problems. He provides a comprehensive hearing implant service, including Cochlear Implants and Bone Conduction Implants (e.g. Osia)/Bone Anchored Hearing Aids. In 2022, he delivered the preeminent lecture in cochlear implantation (Graham Fraser Memorial Lecture) and previously served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Cochlear Implants International Journal.
