Mr. Hooman Sherafat is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon & Clinical Director at the Royal Eye Unit, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is ophthalmologist, performing operations such as advanced small incision cataract surgery, as well as having a special interest in ophthalmic plastic (oculoplastic), lacrimal and reconstructive surgery i.e. disorders of the the eyelid and tear duct, including eyelid cosmetic procedures. He qualified from St.George's Hospital Medical School, University of London, in 1992 and subsequently undertook higher specialist training in ophthalmology in London, which included training in centres such as Guys and St.Thomas' Hospital and the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. Mr. Sherafat has completed sub-specialist fellowship training in the field of Oculoplastic at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of the United Kingdom. Mr. Sherafat has a keen interest in dealing with all fields of oculoplastic disorders, such as lid malpositions, periocular tumours and both surgical and non-surgical periocular rejuvenation as well as lacrimal disorders.
