I have over 18 years of experience in paediatrics. I completed my specialist training in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Birmingham Childrens Hospital, one of the largest centres in the country for paediatric gastroenterology and paediatric liver and small bowel transplantation. I have extensive experience in managing gastrointestinal conditions in children including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, Paediatric inflammatory bowel disease, Coeliac disease, constipation, dietary intolerances including cows milk protein intolerance, recurrent abdominal pains, coeliac disease, growth faltering and common paediatric liver and biliary disorders. In my NHS post, I provide tertiary paediatric gastroenterology service as a part of a multidisciplinary team within the East Midlands region, including procedures such as pH/ impedance study, endoscopy and Ileo-colonoscopy. I am a paediatrician and have specialised in paediatric gastroenterology with particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease. I perform almost weekly theatre lists for paediatric endoscopy and colonoscopy in my NHS job for children aged between 0-18 years (150-200 procedures per year). Having completed a paediatric colonoscopy trainers course, I have a keen interest in training trainees in this skill.
