Student Placement Herman's Pharmacy - Ashford December 2017 to December 2017 I worked in a Community pharmacy for a week on a placement at Herman's Pharmacy. I was given tasks such as helping in processing prescriptions, answering phones, filling out and filing paperwork, running cash registers and stocking shelves. I was also allowed to prepare prescription labels, filling in the controlled drug register with the assistance of the pharmacist and speaking to patients about some tips and advice regarding general sales medicines. This experience increased my confidence during my second year as a pharmacy student and improved my communication skills. The pharmacy was also very busy which required working very quick and efficient which helped improve in working under pressure. Retail assistant Mountain Warehouse - 2016 to 2017 I worked as a retail assistant in the Mountain Warehouse; an outdoor clothing and equipment store. During my time there, I was given roles such controlling transactions at the tills and assisting customers when there's any help needed with their shopping whilst on the shop floor. This improved my skills in demonstrating good product knowledge and customer care. I also took part in tidying up the store and stock replenishment including receiving incoming calls from customers and other stores. Pharmacy Volunteer
