I began work with JS Parker as an OT consultant in 2018 and in April 2020 became a full time member of the team, working as a specialist equipment and adaptions OT and team lead for moving and handling training. I qualified as an OT in 2001 and spent 19 years working for the NHS - in numerous settings, gaining a vast amount of knowledge and experience. I have worked in the areas of orthopedics, medicine, surgery, burns and plastics, critical care and stroke assessment. The last 8-10 years I have predominantly worked within intermediate care and rehabilitation units, covering both in patient and community settings. The client base and background included setting individualised, patient led rehabilitation goals and providing adaptive equipment for clients with Dementia, Parkinson's disease, MND, MS and brain injured clients, including work with amputees.
