Dr. Kocharyan is an Assistant Member in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Kocharyan received his MD from Yerevan State Medical University in Yerevan, Armenia. He completed a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology, Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Emory University School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Kocharyan joins us from Emory University School of Medicine, where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Division of Interventional Radiology, Emory University Hospital.Dr. Kocharyan's clinical interests include treatment of primary and metastatic liver and kidney tumors utilizing transcatheter and percutaneous ablative approaches. Additional interests are tumor-related hypercoagulability and treatment of acute and chronic venous thromboembolic disease. Dr. Kocharyan's research interests are experimental oncologic therapeutics and interventions in addition to implementation of novel innovative technologies (e.g., AI, AR) in cancer imaging and treatment.
