I am an Ophthalmic Surgeon with over 10 years experience as a Consultant. I am highly committed to providing a high quality service to my patients and my team members are equally committed to patient care. I have a particular interest in Vitreoretinal and Cataract surgery, including the management of presbyopia using premium lens implants and monovision correction. My retinal practice includes patients with macular hole, epiretinal membrane, vitreomacular traction, retinal detachment and advanced diabetic eye disease, as well as macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion and diabetic retinopathy. My NHS base is at Barts Health. I have received fellowship training in Vitreoretinal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital (2002-2004), and in Medical Retina at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, Boston (2004-2005). I have had numerous commitments alongside my clinical practice, which were predominantly centred on research, education and training. I have held numerous appointments at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists including College Tutor, Regional Advisor and I am currently an Examiner for Fellowship exams at the Royal College. In my NHS trust, I was Clinical Governance Lead for Ophthalmology up until 2016. Please feel free to email me or call my office should you need any further information (www.retinacare.org.uk).
