Fot the past twenty seven years I have run Graham Jones Pharmacy Ltd opearating in Lambourn, Berkshire. In 1997 we opened Shrivenham Pharmacy. Since 1997 I have twinned my professional career with Local Government on West Berhshire Council where I was leader of the Conservative Group from 2003 to 2012 and Leader of Council from 2005 till 2012. Subsequently I returned to the leadership from 2017-2019 until I retired from the Council in May 19. I was Chairman of the health and Wellbeing Board from it's inception until November 2013 when I stood down to become Chair of the Thames Valley Pharmacy Local Professional Network. Since the Health reforms, initiated in 2010, I have been combining my political and professional knowledge and the growing influence of local government in public health to improve the profile of pharmacy in public health. Most significantly I have been working on the Public Health and Pharmacy forum to prepare the profession for a much greater role in Public Health. In October 2013 I was appointed as Chair of the Thames Valley Local Professional Network for pharmacy.
