Dr Grace Fong is a specialist child and adolescent psychiatrist with over 20 years experience in psychiatry. After completing all her medical, general psychiatry and specialist training in England, she worked for several years as a consultant psychiatrist in paediatric liaison and community child and adolescent psychiatry in London. Since relocating to Australia in 2007, she continued her clinical work as a staff specialist in both community and in-patient settings, working with patients, their families and treatment providers. She has published in peer review journals, co-authored articles on anxiety disorders, depression and self-harm in England and Australia, reviewed peer articles, lectured and taught trainee doctors, paediatricians, psychiatrists and allied health professionals. With additional specialist training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and research; and experience in eating disorders, complex high risk mental illness and neurodevelopmental disorders, she is an experienced clinician across a broad range of child, adolescent and adult disorders. She provides comprehensive assessment, opinion and ongoing management of infants, children, adolescents, adults and their families. Treatment modalities include individual psychotherapy (psychodynamic, mentalization based, CBT, motivational interviewing), and family therapy; psychopharmacology and consultation to schools, GPs, alllied health professional and other doctors.
