Giannie M. Castellanos, O.D. is an Optometric Physician who attended Nova Southern University where she received a Doctorate of Optometry. She completed her externships at the Miami Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Castellanos also attended Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for specialized lectures. Dr. Giannie M. Castellanos is certified to treat and manage ocular diseases including conjunctivitis, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She performs ocular exams for children of all ages. She is also currently certified to fit Ortho Keratology content lens. (This particular type of contact lens provides a safe alternative for patients who do not meet the requirements for LASIK or do not wish to have an invasive procedure.) Dr. Giannie M. Castellanos stays involved in the field of optometry as a member of the Florida Optometric Association, where she is a member of the board. Her other memberships include FOCCE, AOSA and AOA.
