About Gianfranco GerminianiMy psychotherapy practice reflects my Freudian/Winnicottian clinical training. I employ a contemporary, adaptable and in-depth approach that recognises individual subjectivities and valorises the unique life-vicissitudes at the root of each person's suffering and problems. The way I work is especially suited to clients who are experiencing a time of crisis or who feel unable to make sense of what is going on in their lives. I thus see clients who may be struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, obsessional thoughts and/or compulsive behaviours, issues of sexuality, addictions, relationships. Inspired by my later Doctorate studies in psychotherapy research from a Lacanian perspective, I bring to the fore the power of language-processes over psychological change, and I help my clients to discover new ways of engaging with words and thoughts to deal with their difficulties.
