Description

I have worked in the pharmacy industry for the last 7 years, going from community to hospital. I started working in Pharmacy with Boots in September 2016, where I have completed my NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services. During this experience I had the chance to learn how to react in different situations and how to work under pressure, given that the pharmacy was located in the City of London and was extremely busy. Also, I became Patient Safety Lead Dispenser, so among my regular duties as Dispenser I had to implement steps to improve patient safety and also perform admin duties, such as end of month credit claims and managing the dispensary diary. I have good team-working skills, in my current role at St. Charles Hospital I work with a quite big team, which is divided in Stores and Dispensary and I enjoy always being helpful and being approachable with any colleague, so we, as a Team, can achieve any goal set. I have advanced IT skills, I can use the whole MS Office, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook. I know how to use Ascribe, Nexphase and Columbus as pharmacy software. I have excellent time keeping, I can work with short deadlines, I know how to prioritise the work and how to maintain a good pace, even in period of high pressure and staff shortness. My personal skills allow me to plan in advance and maintain a high level of focus even under stress. My organisation and prioritisation skills not only let me achieve my goals, but also give me the ability of working unsupervised, and supervise my team in the absence of the Stores Manager or Deputy Manager. I have good communication skills, I deal with clinics, suppliers and clients on daily basis, over the phone and via emails, and I never had any issue. I also have great customer service skills, thanks to my four years experience in community pharmacy. Attention to details is critical when dealing with medication, currently I have to perform the final check before an order is dispatched to the clinic, so I have to make sure I check every single detail, such as correct quantities, correct medications, expiry dates and the correct address. In general high attention to details has always had a huge importance in my job history, as working with medicines most of the times means working with patients` life, and there is very little room for mistakes.
