Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon Mr George Fayad has been the Governor of the International College of Surgeons since he was elected for the position in 2008. He has extensive knowledge of otolaryngology and has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon for more than 20 years.He completed his medical training in centres in Belgium and France before completing extensive training in Otorhinolaryngology in both Europe and the United States.Mr Fayad is a known leader in the development of ground breaking surgical techniques, including nasal titanium implants for breathing aid and Incisionless ear pinning. He also has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ENT conditions in both adults and children, including: general ENT conditions, sleep and snoring disorders and vertigo and balance issues. Alongside his private practice, Mr Fayad is Lead Rhinologist and Chairman of the ENT Department at the Basildon and Thurrock NHS University Hospitals. He is also responsible for the Allergy Clinic at Basildon Hospital where they are lead innovators, having established a multidisciplinary unit for dealing with patients suffering from combinations of allergies, asthma and nasal polyps.
