Dr Koval is Director of Research at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology - West. He has been honored as a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association for his contributions to research and the community. Dr. Koval graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Michigan State Affiliated Hospitals in Grand Rapids where he became Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Dr Koval has served on the Oregon Medical Board since 2010. He is past President of The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology - West, and brings several honors and awards to the clinic, including being elected Resident Teacher of the Year and the co-winner for Outstanding Fellow Research Project from the American Gastroenterological Association. He has also been featured as a "Top Doctor" in Portland Monthly Magazine. Dr. Koval is a member of the Oregon Medical Association.
