Description

Dr. Gary Heredia was raised in Coppell, TX and is fluent in English and Spanish. (Se habla espanol: Dr. Heredia habla espanol y puede ayudarle con las afecciones de su pie y tobillo.) Dr. Heredia is an experienced board certified, surgically trained foot & ankle specialist providing care for the Frisco and surrounding areas. He received his bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He then earned his medical degree from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago. He completed an extensive three-year residency training in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI, where he served as chief resident. The residency program allowed him to work with a variety of physicians around the Detroit metroplex, where he developed expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult foot and ankle pathology, diabetic foot care, and foot and ankle trauma and acute and chronic conditions of the foot and ankle. Dr. Heredia’s approach is to provide each patient with a personalized plan of care for treatment and relief of foot and/or ankle pain. He provides surgical as well as nonsurgical care and strongly supports exhausting conservative care before considering surgery. He enjoys treating all foot and ankle conditions from common foot problems, such as heel pain, ingrown toenails, bunions, hammertoes, and pediatrics, to sports medicine, ankle pain, flatfoot reconstruction, trauma, and wound care. Dr. Heredia in his free time enjoys Michigan football, running, crossfit, traveling, reading, cooking, and enjoying the thrills of being a new father to his daughter.
