Dr. Nersisyan received her degree in Biomedical Physics from California State University, Northridge in 2006 while working at Optx Optometry as an optician. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry at Ketchum University in 2010. Her optometric experience includes externships at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles, and Kaiser Permanente in San Dimas. She was the recipient of the Ethics Endowed Scholarship in 2008 resonating the great importance Dr. Nersisyan puts in integrity and morals. Throughout her optometric education and career, Dr. Nersisyan has enjoyed working with children. She is an advocate of early pediatric eyecare and has had her work published in the Primary Care Optometry journal. Patients appreciate her thoroughness, chair-side manners, and friendly demeanor which brightens the exam room. Dr. Nersisyan is also a recipient of America’s Top Optometrist for several years. In addition to primary care, pediatrics, and contact lenses, she is glaucoma certified and licensed to treat ocular disease. These combined skills and certifications allow her to practice full-scope optometry. Dr. Nersisyan is a current member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association. She is active in community service and has volunteered as an optometrist for Special Olympics and participated in several vision screenings. In addition to English, she speaks fluent Armenian and some Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafts, and the outdoors with her husband and children.
