Biography
Hello! My name is Dr. Gal Sivan, I'm a clinical psychologist, licensed in Massachusetts Israel.
I received a Masters and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from William James College (Newton, MA). Following a postdoc at Boston College Counseling Services, I completed a Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Fellowship at Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. I recently moved back to Israel after years of doctoral studies and clinical work in Boston, MA. During my years of training, I worked with individuals and groups of diverse and multicultural backgrounds including children, adolescents and adults. I practiced in a variety of settings such as hospitals, a K-8 public school, universities, a neuropsychological assessment center and a private practice. I integrate cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and strength-based therapies. I work actively and collaboratively with clients to identify therapeutic concerns and goals. My treatment style creates an empathic, curious, and welcoming space for growth. I encourage an exploratory and empowered approach towards adjustment and change. I treat a wide range of mental health challenges and specialize in anxiety, trauma, depression, immigration, life transitions, relationship and adjustment struggles. I support my clients’ development of healthier habits and more adaptive coping skills and encourage their growing self-awareness. I enjoy providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and adults.
I currently provide services in Tel Aviv, Raanana (Israel) and online. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are looking for a referral for a client or someone who is relocating to Israel. Glad to help with any question or request.
