At Bush & Co I'm responsible for leading the award winning, highly regarded case management and rehabilitation services we provide to the legal and insurance sectors; covering clinical case management, vocational rehabilitation and behaviour support services for people following catastrophic injury. As a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in a clinical setting and working with patients and clients in a range of primary and secondary care setting. My clinical career includes complex disease management, management of acute complications arising from those chronic diseases and the ongoing therapy and rehabilitation of those clients. These health and rehabilitation needs have included management of complex respiratory conditions, amputations following health complications such as diabetes, and orthopaedic trauma management. I have also worked as a Nurse Educator, developing and running clinical change programmes, supporting Consultants and GP’s to implement NICE guidelines in a range of health and trauma conditions. These were as extensive as rolling out a revised hypertension pharmacology treatment for all primary care patients, patient support for urology symptoms following medical and spinal trauma and education of surgical staff on the use of bone cement in traumatic fracture management. I am the Caldecott Guardian and I sit on the senior leadership team and the Clinical Board at Bush & Co and am responsible for overseeing clinical risk management and business operations as well as providing insight and access to market and clinical developments, materials and forums. Within its work, the Board considers standards, risk and compliance, clinical developments and practices with the purpose of overseeing well-led, safe and effective rehabilitation, care and medico-legal reports within the catastrophic injury sector.
