Dr. Nawaz completed her Residency in Internal Medicine and Nephrology Fellowship at the University Of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, International Society of Nephrology and International Society of Peritoneal dialysis. She has co-authored and published research abstracts and medical case studies in peer-reviewed journals. She is passionate about Home Dialysis Therapies. Dr. Nawaz specializes in Clinical Hypertension and is a member of the American Society of Hypertension. She is a physician leader in developing and implementing a HTN control program through our HTN specialty clinic, which exclusively focuses on resistant and uncontrolled HTN. She is a Fellow of the National Kidney Foundation and volunteers with NKF to raise awareness for kidney disease. She is also a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. She is actively involved in academic activities and is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Western University. Outside of her professional career, Dr. Nawaz is an avid reader, painter and practices Pilates and yoga regularly. She enjoys traveling, and loves water sports and snow skiing, which drew her to the beautiful Northwest. She is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi.
