Dr Lowman graduated with a degree in English Literature before going to med school at Nova Southeastern University. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Florida Jacksonville Campus, where he served as Chief Resident, was awarded with the Deans Research Award and recognized as the Outstanding Senior Resident. He completed his Infectious Disease Fellowship at Rush in Chicago, Illinois and went on to practice in Northwest Chicago for eight years at a busy practice, developing expertise in treating complex infections, such as prosthetic device infections, transplant medicine, and infections in international travelers, and was recognized for Top Performance in Achieving Exceptional Clinical Integration Outcomes. In 2016, he returned to Miami, joining one of the largest HIV clinics in the country, where he practiced for three years—until the COVID pandemic hit. At which point, he dedicated himself to dealing with the pandemic, treating hospitalized patients, advising hospitals, and making reports to the CDC. With Lowman Med, he hopes to bring all his experiences and expertise into an outpatient clinic, providing competent, compassionate care.
