My specialist OT role is working with a range of disabilities, TBI/ ABI,spinal injury, all neurological conditions, mental health, amputees, learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities by providing true holistic assessments. Currently working Adult Social Care, CCG’s, Independent OT and assist large teams of Social workers and managers to understand the Continuing Health Care (CHC) process alongside. Complete individual OT assessments which also enables me to attend CHC MDT/ DST meetings and contribute to recommendations. I am also Secretary of State BIA, abs in my current role it is also about looking at a persons need and how that need is managed and may need to consider how/if large packages of care may need to be reduced or increased by using task analysis/ single handed care approach and thus has resulted it vast cost savings for the Local Authority and health authority. I also form part of an IRP for NHSE and CQC on adhoc basis I have a keen interest and vast experience in moving and handling of people however a wide range of experience in, •Full holistic assessment •Adaptations,for adults and children via DFG or self funded recommendations •Rehousing reports •Moving and Handling Train the Trainer accredited •Single Handed Care Expert •Slings, •Hoisting, mobile, gantry and ceiling track hoists [CTH]. Installation of a CTH or gantry can reduce care packages to one carer. •Extensive knowledge & experience Moving & Handling for complex health care needs. •Disability Facility Grants(DFG) including paediatrics adaptations and assessments, •Specialist equipment, specialist high spec seating •Blue Badge assessments •Supervision •Liaise with and provision of specialist reports for CHC, rehousing,MDT,case management, commissioners •CHC-checklists,DST •Case management •CHC train the trainer •Discharge summaries and safe discharge from hospitals D2A •Specialist seating •Postural support management •Bed management systems and sleep systems •Care home consultation •Demonstrations for care homes for guidance on moving and handling clients with complex care needs, providing guidance advice/ recommendations. •Specialist Advisor OT for CQC •Train the trainer Autism •BIA Assessor •IRP Panel member NHSE •Undertake private work, assessments and reports I work across the country Nationally. Liaise with providers regarding packages of care and ensure all MDT able to meet needs
