I love to empower people through good health. At age 13, I had an accident at school, landing me in hospital. Thanks to modern medicine & skilled health professionals I made a complete recovery. From this moment however, I knew that good health was a tremendously valuable asset. I wanted to learn all about healthcare and have a healthcare-related career. I became a hospital pharmacist specialising in diabetes. I loved learning about this area of medicine as it combined life style alongside medications and lots of meticulous education (my other passion) for both healthcare providers and patients alike. I have always enjoyed the educational element of healthcare as there are so many myths to bust, so many misunderstandings and so many people who do not understand the ‘medical lingo’ often quoted to them. I have found that making language, concepts and instructions simple often helps people to understand and take more responsibility for their own good health - which is what I believe we all should be able to do. I want to help people to do this, I want to make a difference.
