• Management of acute and complex illness and diseases in the hospitalized patients • Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostics, prescribing medications, consulting and communicating with specialty areas when needed; and daily rounding of patients. • Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for discharge planning and daily progression of care (RN staff, speech, occupational and physical therapy, social workers, case managers etc.) • Monitoring of patients' condition and progress and re-evaluation of treatments as necessary. • Planning and coordination of patients' discharge, rehabilitation, home health care and follow-up. • Advising and educating patients regarding diet, hygiene and effective disease prevention techniques.
