I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with a passion for working within teams with young people and their families. A very dedicated, detail oriented professional lady, proficient in assessment, formulation and management of CAMHS cases, developing therapeutic relationships with young people and their families. Great leadership and management experience to work jointly with established team members to lead teams’ forward. I work collaboratively with others, to respectfully offer time and contain anxieties where possible. I aspire to translate the same ethos when working with young people and their families, trying to approach situations in a thoughtful and reflective way, tackling situations sensitively and tactfully. I am adept at history taking and formulation and I am used to considering cases under pressure. I build positive relationships with young people and their families and routinely work jointly with the MDT and other multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary agencies. I have experience in forging close relationships with colleagues in other disciplines and agencies, joint working many complex cases. I am accustomed to offering psychiatric opinions within teams for complex cases and also to supervising other team members during their case management. I am proficient in managing risk and containing the anxiety this can create in teams. I also find self-reflection and reflection with team to be very containing. I have experience of teaching others- both MDT members and patients’ families. I am also accustomed to supervising team members, junior doctors and MDT staff. Bio-psycho-social formulation of cases and management of both routine and complex patients • Compilation of comprehensive medical reports which include full psychiatric reports and Assessment of Needs Report (AON) under the Disability Act 2005 • Skilled in referral management and wait list management and prioritising assessment slots. • Team working- leading and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams .
