Dr. Shaikh is a senior consultant psychiatrist practicing both in the public (NHS) and the private sector (Mentis Clinic Ltd.). He has specialist interest in the assessment and treatment of Adult ADHD and ASD. Additionally, he is also founder/CEO of MyBabble Ltd. (established in January 2020). This is a loneliness prevention and reduction digital startup in the form of a smartphone app named ‘MyBabble’ that relies on building a community of strangers who consent to making and receiving anonymous 17-minute 1:1 voice calls during which they can talk with each other using an agreed framework of safe and appropriately motivating conversation prompts. The vision for MyBabble Ltd. is to help reduce loneliness feelings globally 17 minutes at a time through the anonymous 17-minute calls via the MyBabble app (www.MyBabble.chat).
