In Occupational Therapy, the GOAL to incorporate a holistic and client-centred occupational therapy treatment plan to develop a wide range of skills in children with autism. AUTISM, a developmental disability, is defined by behavioural characteristics such as: ↪ Repetitive behaviours ↪ Sensory processing and sensory integration dysfunction ↪ Poor play skills and social interaction ↪ Deficits in language comprehension ↪ Poor fine and gross motor skills GOOD NEWS  is that these challenges can be managed using different approaches according to each child’s needs. This is WHY I’m driven to plan and implement EFFECTIVE and THERAPEUTIC interventions for children with autism which minimises the difficulties in the daily activities they experience at home, school or in communal life while maximizing their independency.
