As an MPharm student with a passion for pharmacy and healthcare, my journey has involved valuable experiences that have shaped my professional growth. Prior to embarking on my studies in Brighton, I dedicated my time to a Cancer Research charity shop, where I raised awareness about our cause and the significance of fundraising. My commitment to delivering excellent service was evident in my interactions with the public, addressing their concerns, and providing insightful answers. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained hands-on experience in various community pharmacies, including Payden Pharmacy and Day Lewis. I am currently working as a Locum Dispenser for Locum Prime and Locate a Locum, I have worked on essential skills in community pharmacy, such as accurate dispensing, meticulous record-keeping, and providing exemplary customer service. My proficiency extends to the effective management of controlled substances, observational skills during patient consultations, collaboration within healthcare teams, and ensuring efficient stock control. I also briefly contributed to the healthcare environment at Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH). In my role as a bank pharmacy undergraduate, I actively engaged in medication management and dispensing, with a focus on Patient Own Drugs (POD) checks. This included ensuring patients have a two-week supply of suitable and in-date medications at home, conducting thorough verifications, and identifying any discrepancies against prescribed items. My diverse experiences have equipped me with a well-rounded skill set, including patient education on medication intake, adaptability to technological advancements, and proficiency in pharmaceutical preparation. I am eager to contribute my knowledge and skills to the dynamic field of pharmacy, with a dedication to ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
