Mrs. Cotton-Lewis is a Certified Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in primary care, private practice and home care; diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, adults, and aging. Some of her practice specialties include (but not limited to) primary care, private practice, hospice care, home care, and mental illness. Mrs. Cotton-Lewis style of practice can be traditional (prescribing up to date medications) or alternative medicine (natural treatments including but not limited to vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modification- diet, exercise, etc.). She believes in the mind/body/spiritual connection, and we are made up as a whole person and not a series of parts. She completed her bachelors at Nevada State College (2014) and Master of Science in Nursing at National University (2017). She completed the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification at National University (2020). She focuses on naturopathic medicine, which entails on disease prevention, and functional medicine, which addresses root causes of disease as well as integrative health. Her focus on practice modality with children, adolescent, adult, and aging population. She has completed studies in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at National University (2020) and is eligible and in the process of applying for PMHNP board certified. She is on a mission of applying to Capella University with a focus on Doctor’s in Family Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Cotton-Lewis started her career as a nurse in San Diego, California since 2001. She has worked in multiple areas throughout her nursing career and continue to expand her horizon.
