The PCP is a guide and educator for the patient. We can make recommendations and prescribe treatments but the patient is the leader and shared decision-making is crucial for an effective treatment plan. I use motivational interviewing strategies to help patients take control of their health and move toward becoming the best version of themselves. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I have an 11-year-old daughter, a husband, and 2 cats. I enjoy hiking and being outside. I do pilates and yoga several days per week.
