I view the practice of medicine as a team approach. In the course of my medical career, I have found that patients play an equally important role in their own health and healing as their physician. I often find that a motivated patient simply needs the guidance of a trusted physician to help them live their healthiest life. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a physician. I have always been drawn to this profession because it allows you to demonstrate compassion towards those when they need it the most. Prior to medical school and during my medical training, I worked and volunteered much of my time in the field of child psychiatry. I have worked and volunteered at several different residential camps and facilities in the northeast for children with severe emotional disorders and families in crisis. I have also volunteered at Birthright- a foundation that supports for pregnant woman who have decided to carry unwanted pregnancies to term as well as the Boys and Girls club of America. When I am not working or chasing after my four- and five-year-old sons, I enjoy hiking, doing Pilates exercises, and practicing Transcendental Meditation.
