I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, working in the counseling field for over 24 years. I work with many different populations including children, adults, couples and families. Throughout the years, I have developed a client-centered approach which is pragmatic and eclectic. Meaning, my approach is tailored to client needs and not necessarily to a particular theoretical paradigm.I received my B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Miami, and my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology from Florida International University. Furthermore, I am a Qualified Supervisor (Florida). Meaning, I can provide supervision to other MHCs seeking licensure in this state.For many semesters I have served as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University, teaching graduate-level psychology courses at this university. I also conduct Mental Health, Immigration, and Substance Abuse evaluations for the court.
