Applying her psychology training to dentistry gives Dr. Fundora an added dimension to patient care with a unique and essential combination of empathy, understanding and the ability to help patients communicate clearly about their dental concerns and treatment choices. Her advanced training allows her to work with fearful patients to alleviate their concerns and make their dental experience a positive one.She completed her dental residency in advanced general dentistry at UCLA (Los Angeles), where she mastered in diagnosis, planning and treatment of complex dental cases. Dr. Fundora also received intense training in cosmetic, prosthetic and implant dentistry with an emphasis on full-mouth reconstruction. Dr. Fundora worked with Dr. John Ivey for more than five years. In 2006, Dr. Fundora bought the practice from retiring Dr. John Ivey, long-known as the “dentist to the stars”, with a loyal following, including Sharon Stone and the late Merv Griffin. Through her partnership with Dr. Ivey, Dr. Fundora was exposed to advanced techniques, as well as some of the hottest Hollywood luminaries. Dr. Fundora continues attracting a growing number of celebrities seeking confidentiality, professionalism and a great dentist. In addition to maintaining her private practice in Beverly Hills, Dr. Fundora serves as a clinical instructor at UCLA. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Multi-talented, Dr. Denise Fundora received not only a DDS from the University of California at San Francisco, one of the nation’s most highly-regarded dental professional schools, but also holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
