About me I am a qualified, registered and insured psychodynamic psychotherapist with a private practice in Bank, central London. Practicing in the City of London means I am particularly familiar with issues resulting from work-related stress and other professional challenges but I work with clients from various backgrounds, at different stages in their lives. All my clients share a common desire to feel better and improve their sense of well-being. How can I help?Whether it’s a loss of hope, depression, bereavement, anxiety or better relationships being sought, we can work on the issue together. I also dedicate part of my practice to working with individuals newly diagnosed with a mental health disorder such as borderline/emotionally unstable personality disorder or bipolar disorder, with the understanding that receiving an official diagnosis can be both a relief and a worry. I am here to provide support and understanding around what the diagnosis means and the impact it might have on the rest of your life. How I work My approach is grounded in the attachment-based psychodynamic psychotherapy of John Bowlby and D.W. Winnicott. Together, we would try to understand how negative aspects of your past relationships may have become represented in your inner world, determining your world view of relationships and are now being re-enacted in your adult life. We would work together to give you a greater understanding of the experiences you are going through. As difficult experiences and emotions come up, we would work to identify them and look at their effects such as making it hard to make and keep healthy relationships. We would also discuss the importance of the unconscious on shaping your current behaviour. In all my work I aim to build an accepting, trusting relationship, enabling you to talk about your issues in a safe and contained environment.
