About Deborah AbrahamsI am a psychoanalyst and DIT therapist with over 25 years of relevant work experience, including 16 years of NHS work as a clinical psychologist and senior psychotherapist.I am experienced in working with people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs. I have a particular interest in helping people with key transition points in life, whether this is coping with new parenthood, empty nests, marriage, divorce, career changes, loss and trauma. I am also interested in offering intensive analytic work where this is the most effective way forward. I am a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. Prior to that, I qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in 2015 with the British Psychotherapy Foundation; I am a training psychotherapist for the PPA as well as a training analyst for IPCAPA. In addition, I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. I am registered with the BPAS and the British Psychoanalytic Council and I am governed by the standards of conduct, performance and ethics of these bodies. I also hold an updated DBS Enhanced Certificate for working with Adults and Children, re-issued annually.
