Growing up in Radnor, Pennsylvania, I spent summers as a camp counselor and used spare time to volunteer at the children’s hospital. I attended Penn for undergraduate studies, and then headed across the city to Temple for medical school with the idea of pursuing a career in pediatrics. As I progressed through my education, I realized that I had a greater interest in caring for adults. In general internal medicine, I found that I enjoy forming therapeutic relationships with patients, and working with them to manage both acute and chronic illnesses. I stayed at my medical alma mater, and completed a residency in internal medicine at Temple. After training, I was selected to stay on as a Chief Resident and faculty member. While I enjoyed teaching and mentoring residents, I preferred my time one-on-one with patients in the office, and I am now happy to provide patient-centered care at NSIM. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Amy and our families and friends. Together we enjoy cooking and exploring new restaurants across the city. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and reading science fiction.show more
