Dr. David Tremblay specializes in advanced Corneal, Cataract, and Refractive surgery procedures, as well as the diagnosis and care of patients with Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eye, and Glaucoma. Dr. Tremblay is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and brings a wealth of experience and vision care services to our patients. Born in San Antonio and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Tremblay earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his Internship in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Tremblay then completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, SC, and followed with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Tremblay is active in the ophthalmic community and serves on several committees of various ophthalmologic societies. He is the medical director of the Miracles in Sight Eye Bank and serves on multiple boards of the Eye Bank Association of America. He is also a volunteer surgeon for Operation Sight, an organization that offers cataract surgery to those without the means to afford it. In between spending time with his wife and two daughters, Dr. Tremblay enjoys running, playing and producing music, golfing, and fishing. Dr. Tremblay is fluent in Spanish.
