I trained in Neurosurgery in London, Leeds and Pheonix Arizona with the world renowned Neurosurgeons Dr Robert Spetzler and Dr Vsontag. I have been the trust head of department for Neurosurgery in Bristol, head of training and have featured in television programmes. The practice is concentrated on spinal conditions and brain tumours where I receive national and international referrals , Mr Porter has undertaken more than 1000 complex vascular conditions of the brain including aneurisms and AVM's, has treated more than 600 meningiomas and done more than 1000 spinal operations, 20 plus bypass procedures and brainstem cav mal resections. . He is now a recognised appraiser for the Neurosurgery department and wider trust.
