I am a practising Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist. I have a successful academic as well as clinical record both in Britain as well as in India. My Doctorate (DCPsych) at Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University, London has a dual qualifications. After the successful completion of my first doctoral Psychotherapy training, I am pursuing my second doctoral thesis and viva for Counselling/Clinical Psychology presently. I also hold master's degrees from British Universities: MSc Psychology of Education (BPS) from Bristol University and MSc Psychology from Exeter University. I hold membership with various national and international professional bodies including BPS (British Psychological Society), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). In India I was awarded an MSc in Psychology where I also gained three bachelor's degrees in economics, theology, and philosophy. I have written in English over 100 short articles in the local newspapers on a variety of contextual themes concerning national and global issues. In addition, I have also written three books in English and several books on neuropsychology and poetry in the Tamil language. I am a qualified Psychotherapist at a Doctoral level and I feel confident to deal with complexity. My natural inclination is to help people in need. My recent training and qualifications do enhance my inclination especially to those psychologically unwell.I have been in the helping profession for the last 16 years. I have been in a parental role early on in life and have gone through various relationship dynamics in both individualist as well as collectivist cultures. Part of my Doctoral training included five years of personal therapy along with hundreds of clinical hours. So, I feel confident to help people in need.
