Mr Darius Rad is a consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in cerebral palsy, lower limb deformity corrections, knee sports surgery, foot and ankle deformity correction. He practises at Spire Southampton Hospital privately and at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. He holds an MBBS from the Victor Papilian School of Medicine at Lucian Blaga University, Romania and has undergone higher training in trauma, deformity correction, and foot and ankle pathology in several NHS trusts across the UK, including the Royal London Hospital. He has also completed fellowships at esteemed institutions such as the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, the Royal Alexandra Childrens Hospital, and the Childrens Hospital for Wales in Cardiff.Mr Rad is an active member of several professional organisations, including the British Society for Childrens Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS), where he serves as the chair of the publicity committee and the acting webadmin, and the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS), where he serves as the chair of the website committee. He is also a member of the British Society for Surgery in Cerebral Palsy (BSSCP), the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), and AO Foundation - AO Trauma, where he is a National Faculty member. He is a trustee for the Cerebral Palsy Sport charitable organisation.
