After graduating with my MPharm degree from the University of Huddersfield I am currently a Pre-Registration Pharmacist at The Hub Pharmacy. I have worked in a many number of pharmacies; one independent pharmacy on a permanent basis which became the cornerstone for my development as a professional, as well as many large chains; even at their hospital out-patient, and off-site dispensing branches. The combination of all this has made me a very confident and well-equipped member of the pharmacy team; being able to work in different ways relevant to respective companies, working under pressure, but also being able to work well and integrated within a team right from the beginning, but also independently when necessary. In regards to hospital pharmacy I have attended a large number of placements which has really interested me. Unfortunately with it being a very sector to join, the closest I have come is out-patient pharmacies, having said that, it has taught me a great deal about the care and treatment of patients, and the importance of the relevant and necessary followups. I hope to spend time within both of these sectors of pharmacy as they each have their own advantages; in terms of hospital pharmacy, I am particularly interested in neurology, cardiology, and mental health. It is my ultimate goal to have the privilege and join the NHS as a hospital pharmacist.
