Description

Mr Nnadi was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008. He undertook Spine fellowship training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London, and the Norfolk & Norwich University Teaching Hospital. He was locum Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham before taking up his post in Oxford. He is Clinical Director for Neurosciences Directorate at Oxford University Hospitals. He was previously clinical lead for spinal surgery. Mr Nnadi is also a Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Portland Hospital in London and The Harley Street Clinic in London. Mr Nnadi sees Adults and children with back problems. Mr Nnadi has a special interest in Paediatric Deformity. He has published a book on Early Onset Scoliosis (2015), peer reviewed articles, and chapters in specialist books. He is on the editorial board of the European Spine Journal. He was Chief investigator for 2 National trials – The Magnetic Growth rods trial in Early Onset Scoliosis and the K Spine system for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis. He was also Lead surgeon for the first UK Spine registry (Spine Tango) from 2009 – 2015. From 2016 to 2018 he served on the NICE Guidelines Committee for VTE in spinal surgery. He is a regular faculty member at international conferences on paediatric spinal surgery. He is Ex-Chair of the Growing Spine Committee, Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) and a member of the Paediatric Medical Device Taskforce for the SRS. Mr Nnadi has previously served as Chair of the Research Committee for the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS). He has also served as a medical technology adviser to NICE and an NIHR Peer reviewer. Mr Nnadi is a Trustee for the Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) and founder of the Early Onset Scoliosis Foundation CIO.
