I am a specialist cancer pharmacist with a generalist interest. I am passionate about oncology/haematology, as well as my role as a pharmacist. I have previously worked as a senior leader in the pharmacy department and as a lead cancer services pharmacist within an NHS trust. I am an independent prescriber, with experience of managing patients with urological cancers. I care about the holistic care of patients and improving their health outcomes. Passionate about educational and training, I am in particular keen on promoting the cancer specialties in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner, and developing others’ interests in learning about cancer. I am a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Mentoring Advisory Group, and mentors pharmacists and students with the RPS and the University of Nottingham. I also work with the CPPE and Macmillan Cancer Support to review content of learning materials and patient information for pharmacy professionals, patients and carers. I believe continuous quality improvement is an essential element of professional development. I am an advocate for practice research in pharmacy, having implemented numerous service development projects within my previous NHS Trusts, which have been published as posters at the BOPA symposium over the last few years. I am currently on the Faculty of Royal College of Radiologists Clinical Oncology Exam Board as a Clinical Pharmacology Specialist Examiner. I am a qualified pharmacist in both Hong Kong and the UK. I am always looking to develop myself further, open to new challenges and thrive to push my limits.
